Would this count towards the beauty club?

Can you also use the Gillete Fusion Shave Prep coupon from PG? I am not sure what they consider “shave prep”.

can you combine this deal with a $4/20 coupon?

Yes you can combine it with the $4/20. I just did it this morning. It did beep but the cashier put it through.

Only your first scenario appears valid. The rest should not work. You cannot use two manufactures coupons on one product.

I’ve seen scenarios like this posted many times in the past. The theory is that the B1G1 coupon only actually applies to the one you are getting free. So you can still use another coupon on the item that you are still paying for. I have tried doing this myself in the past after seeing that it is supposed to work and have found that about 50% of the time, CVS’s registers accept this scenario without beeping or prompting any sort of price adjustment. Sometimes they do beep and something will need to manually entered but the fact that it allows them to work sometimes means that it should actually be legit (in my opinion). I have also tried doing some of these scenarios at the other drug stores and Target and have had success with them in the past. Sometimes the same scenario will work at one store and beep at another.

For example, there was a coupon in the paper from a couple of weeks ago for $2 off of any beef item if you buy 3 kikkomon sauces or marinades. I went to Safeway while they had the catalina deal running and managed to buy 3 teriyaki marinades for $1.99 each, use 3 coupons for $2/1 marinade (which made all 3 free) and then i also bought a package of meat and used the B3G$2 off the meat. All 4 coupons went through no problem and i additionally got $2 back in a catalina because it happened to be going on at the time. So it was actually a moneymaker for me and dinner was great!

I’d really like to know if the coupons are allowed to work that way or not, because it is super convenient but doesn’t always work without beeping 100% of the time and i really dont want to be misusing them.

If I look at an advertisement such as the Gillette razors and I see a x$ off coupon right next to a BOGO coupon, to me it implies to use them together. I mean why else would the company issue the coupons in this way? There’s no wording on the coupons that says that I can’t use them together. If I were not allowed to use them together, then I would boycott the product because I don’t agree with a company trying to deceive me into thinking that I can get a product for a certain price. I think it’s often the cashier’s sometimes over-analyzing the wording on the coupons.

It allowed me too… I heard you were allowed to do that since it was essentially the same as the B1G1 deal. This is what I did yesterday…

2 Ban Deodorants $3.98
1 Gillette Foamy Shaving Cream (a mini travel size one to put me at $30) .99
1 Olay Body Wash $7.99
1 Venus & Olay 3 ct cartridge $18.29
1 Venus & Olay Razor $11.49
Coupons:
CVS $10 off $30 Gillette Shaving Products
B1 Venus Cartridge G1 Venus Razor -$11.49
$2 off Venus cartridge refill or razor
B1G1 Ban Deodorant -$1.99
B1 Venus Cartridge G1 Olay body wash -$7.99
.25 off 1 Ban Deodorant
Final Price: $11.58

You can use a buy one get one coupon with another $off coupon because your purchasing the other merchandise and getting the $off amount on that product.

I did the P&G deal last week on the Fusion razor, spend $30 get $10. Would I be able to do the fisrt deal by Christie and Abby (which is awesome by the way, thank you so much!!!) and use the $10 ECB’S that I earned? Or would I not receive the $4 ECB’S?

Christie June 11, 2012 at 11:03 pm

Yes – you can. 🙂 You’ll get the $4 ECBs.

Christi,

Can you use the above coupons ($10 off $30 Gillette purchase, Free Gillette Razor wyb Cartridge, $1 off Gillette shave prep…mine is priced higher so it allows me to use this additional coupon) and an additional $4/$20 purchase??

Reply

Christie June 12, 2012 at 1:33 pm

I think the $4/$20 will honestly depend on your store. My store will put it through but it’s most likely going to beep.

Just an update on the $4/$20 CVS coupon. I was able to use all the coupons that I listed in the above post. I handed over the $10 off $30 CVS coupon first, then the $4 off $20, then the rest of the coupons. I did this twice and used the $4 ECB’s on the last. What an awesome deal!

Yay for posting all the different deals! Today I did 2 deals, one with my card and another with my hubby’s card. It did beep on the $10 /$30, but cashier put it right thru. I also used the $4/$20 and 2 ECB I had. After Q’s & $4 ECB received, oop was .09! Thanks Seth, I used the coupons in order you listed. Lady in line behind me had same deal! Father’s Day gifts for my sons.

Your last deal will not work since you cannot use a CustomPlus 3 coupon for a CustomPlus Pivot Ultra Grip razor. Basically, this coupon will only work on the disposable 3 blade razors.
