I just start buying stuff at cvs, everytime I went to print my coupons at the machine it would always print 2-3 coupons and thats it. I found out today that if you keep scanning your card 2 or 3 times more coupons will print!!! My Q is , If I go tomorrow and scan my card, would it print more coupons? does it print once a week? or everyday? thanks.

It prints everyday. Sometimes the same coupons, plus new ones.

First question: how do you get the machine to print out two? Two separate visits? I didn’t even know that was possible! Second question – on the “if the machine only prints out one” scenario, I think you mean (1) $2/1 Shampoo, Conditioner, or Styling Aid (Exc Pro Salon) CVS Coupon Center, right? (it says “(2)”)

Yes, two separate visits. I live very close to a CVS and have dropped by to scan my card every day this week. . .so 5 $2/1 coupons for me so far. 🙂

If you go different days it might print again. I got 3 so far this week

If you are able to do so, I have gone to CVS at 1150 PM and scanned my card for that day. Then, wait until 12 AM and scan you card for that day. That way you have effectively scanned your card for two days in one trip.

Carina, keep scanning your card until it stops printing. I went two different days and got one $2/1 each day. I saved the first one until today and used it with my pantene. I also bought another shampoo that was clearance. So i got three for 2.24

I did a similar deal this week. I had the $3 from the paper, a $2 from the magic machine, and a $1 specifically for Pantene from the magic machine, making them .50 each. I have another $3 manufacturer and another $2 CVS shampoo – hopefully one more will print out for me!

Does anyone know if we can use a % off coupon with a $2/1 Shampoo, Conditioner?

Reply

mel June 28, 2012 at 7:10 pm

@ Nancy, it depends. If you want to do the Pantene deal, the % off won’t work b/c the items are on sale. But if you bought, say Suave shampoo which isn’t on sale, then you can combine the $2 off with the % off.

I’m saving my $2 coupons for the 7/1 ad, since they’ll be on sale 2/$6.50 AND count towards the Gas Card deal! I have 4 coupons, not sure if I’ll make it to CVS tomorrow or Sat, but that’ll be $13 towards the Gas Card + 4 free bottles + $1 in overage to apply to something else in my cart.

Hi Nancy, you can use the % off on any non-sale items. In this case the Pantene is on sale @ 2/$6.97 so you can only use the $2/1 coupon. Unless, the Pantene is regular then you can combine both % off coupon and $2/1 coupon on the same item. Hope it makes sense.

Thanks Mel and An! I guess if I buy a non-sale shampoo at $5, it will take off the $2 first (5-2 =3) and then take off another % off the $3.

Hi Nancy, if you buy shampoo at $5 regular price…30% off would be $1.50 plus less $2/1 coupon…your total out of pocket is $1.50.

I have another question. If I buy a “buy 1 get 1 50% item”, and if I only buy 1 instead of 2, is it considered a sale item or not?

They have Pantene on clearance at a couple of the CVS’s around me, priced @ $2.49. I bought 2 for $4.98, used $3/2 Manu q and 1 $2 off any shampoo, conditioner, etc. CVS q, and got them both free!

The $2 coupon at CVS is so crazy. How many different shampoos brands have there been to get free or cheap shampoo?

so how is everyone using TWO or multiple of the $2 shampoo coupons from the machine at the same time? The registers never like it if I have two of the same in one transaction. The cashiers usually refuse it or manually add it in.

Stephanie,

At CVS you are aloud to use more than one CVS printed coupon, as long as the coupons match for the item. You can also you more than one $/$$ coupon too. My CVS is super coupon friendly and I NEVER have any problems with using more than one CVS coupon and stacking that with a manufacture coupon. It’s also in the CVS coupon policy.

the coupons from the machine all have different UPC’s on them, so there shouldn’t be any beeping. Its not like a mailer or IP where it says Limit 1 per Customer and the UPC’s are the same. I used 2 Organix coupons that printed from the machine last week on the Organix deal this week and no beeps.
