CVS Shopping Scenario for 7/12!

by Christie- on July 11, 2015

CVS Shopping ScenariosHere’s my shopping scenario for 7/12. In this scenario, you’ll get $17.99 in merchandise. After sales and coupons, you’ll pay $8.99 out of pocket. You’ll keep $2 ECB and receive $1 from ibotta, so it’s like you’re paying 75¢ per item.

This week, select areas will not have a sale. Go HERE. Make sure you are browsing at your store location. If you don’t see a sale, that means your store will not be participating in this week’s sale. Monthly deals should work at these locations (I did phone a store in the non-sale area to inquire), so you should be able to do Transactions #2 and #3 so long as you have not reached your limits. Be sure to check your receipt!

Transaction #1
Buy (2) All Laundry Detergent 26-33 loads · Mighty Pacs 24ct,  2/$6.99 Sale Price
(2) $1/1 All Product, exp. 7/19/15 (RP 06/07/15)
Total = $4.99 Get Back $2 ECB

Buy (1) Gold Peak Tea, 18.5oz, 4/$5 Sale Price
Buy (3) Gold Peak Tea, 18.5oz, Honest Tea, 16.9oz, Smartwater, 23.7oz, or Vitaminwater, 20oz, 4/$5 Sale Price
$2 ECB from Transaction #1
Total = $3, Get Back $2 ECB for buying 4 +$1/1 Gold Peak Tea Ibotta Deposit

Yes – but it says Walmart and CVS coupon policy will not accept coupons with other retailers names or logos. 🙁

According to the PDF file of the coupon policy it states they will not accept competitors “logo” does not state anything about just the name. And the $1.50 off coupon only lists “available at walmart”. However it is up the discretion for the store manager. So guess we’ll just have to see if they’ll accept it.

Here’s my personal choice for my blog…

Why would I tell people to use a coupon that I know 95% of readers aren’t going to be able to use?

I know some other bloggers don’t care. But I don’t want to annoy and inconvenience people just so I can post a deal that’s better by a $1. But, that’s just my personal choice.

If someone wants to try it – absolutely – go for it.

I didn’t know that. They scanned perfectly at my CVS. I am in Tulsa.

Got back from CVS, got 3 12 packs of Scott toilet paper (like the price & brand) and 2 Loreal Intenza Mascaras ($9.29 each). Last month they were cheaper, but still a good deal with the $5 coupon from the red machine, $5 Loreal EB and the $3 coupons from today’s newspaper. The stores around me do not take coupons with other logos (Walgreens included) so I do not even try. In other hand RiteAid is the one that takes them from me, mostly because they know me 🙂
Gracias Christie for being honest on your deals!
