I have been following your website for the past 2 years and I was told yesterday at both CVS and Walgreens that they have changed their coupon policy and will no longer allow one to use 2 coupons for 2 separate products in the same transaction as the coupons state one product per purchase as the stores have been losing money. I tried and I was denied multiple CVS and Wags deals at 3 different CVS and WAGS stores. I am so disappointed. The store told me no more 30.00 worth of products for 5.00. I live in Raleigh, NC.

This sounds like a local decision by some eager beaver regional manager. I would call corporate. If that’s what manufacturer’s intended coupons wouldn’t state “4 of the same coupons in the same transaction” and the like. It makes no sense, and I imagine this isn’t going to stick around for long in your area.

Thanks Christie, I’ll make a phone call and see what they say. Thanks so much for all of your time and effort you put into this for people!!

Sounds like they don’t know the difference between “per purchase” and “per transaction”. I’ve run into that alot over the years. I wish the manufacturers would use the word “product” instead of “purchase”…might make it easier for the cashiers to understand.

Do you have any info on the P&G MIR mentioned in this weeks ad? Is $50 after coupons and is it $50 spent on one shopping trip or multiple trips. I haven’t done a rebate for them in years and don’t want to get this wrong. With all the Cover Girl deals over last several weeks it would be easy to hit $50. Thanks for any info

Debbie, Covergirl isn’t part of the P&G MIR. It’s only for Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Secret, Ivory, Safeguard, Olay Skin, Olay Body and Venus products. It can be done over multiple trips, but your total has to be $50 AFTER all coupons (manuf, store AND extrabucks). I personally haven’t been doing the PG rebates b/c my total at CVS is so low, usually $1-$2+ tax, it’d take months to actually have $50 spent!
