HOT $4 Aveeno Money Maker!

by Christie on November 2, 2011

Woo Hoo! The trial size Aveeno is now working for the $7 ECB Deal!!!! I just got home from doing this deal, it’s now a $4.02 Money Maker! 🙂

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (2) Trial Size Aveeno $1.49 Each
Total = $2.98, Get Back $7 ECB
= $4.02 MONEY MAKER!

Because the limit on this deal is one it will not work if you already did the Aveeno deal with a different product. But if you haven’t, you can grab a nice $4.02 Money Maker!

If you tried to do the deal earlier in the week and were not able to, maybe try speaking to your manager since the deal wasn’t working earlier this week.

If you read the coupon carefully you will notice that it specifically excludes the trial and 2.5 oz sizes -its stated at the bottom and not where it is usually printed. Doing this desl will constitute fraud and will only make things worse for us couponers.

Ha – that’s funny!

You don’t use a coupon to do this deal, so how do you commit coupon fraud with no coupon. LOL

Maybe you should read before you start accusing people of committing crimes!

Lilian – There is NO coupon used in this deal…. so, I don’t know what you mean?

WOW Awesome deal and no clipping coupons needed!! WooHoo!!

Well my previous comment hasn’t shown up yet but I said that I used the coupons. I did not see that it said excludes trial size. I was going off another website! I would not have used the coupons had I read correctly.

Still not at my local store. Was told by clerk and manager trail size was exclued.

Did you try it? It should be printing upon purchase automatically. It’s been fixed.

Crystal November 2, 2011 at 7:00 pm

It states in the CVS ad… 0.5 oz-13oz . Trial size is 1 oz. Even if you have politely disagree you have the ad to back you up! 🙂

Corporate will back you up so contact them and you will get you 7 ecb. I had to go that route!

I tried this at the hammond cvs and they wouldn’t give the ECB. They also had a note on the price checker that says it only applies to the items in the beauty aisle #8 which is not where the trial size is.

Call corporate and complain. So many people did that they went in and fixed it because of the ad. It was a decision they made to honor the ad – which I thought was super cool!

This didn’t work for me on Sunday because at that point it wasn’t included. It was changed and it’s included now. Yay! 🙂 No pushing through the ECB or anything like that, it will just print.

I am so excited! I got an even better deal. They were out of the Illy coffee drinks, so they were subbing Seattle’s Best. They only cost $1.49. The free coupon still rung up $2.49. I had two! I got 2 trial Aveno and 2 Seattle’s Best coffee drinks for $1.01 and got a $7 ECB!!!!

Christie November 2, 2011 at 7:04 pm

Yay! I love it!

Awesome deal, Crystal! I bought the smaller size Illy drink for $2 and the Q gave me $2.49 off so I only paid $2.11 OOP and got the $7 ECB!!!

The cashier was super excited and said she was going to do the same deal when her shift ended in 30 mins 🙂

Thanks for the post, Christie!!! 🙂

My store did not have the trial size. I am going to look at a few more stores. I really want this deal! Thank you so very much for the time you put into finding and posting these deals for us. <3

I got 2 trial aveeno’s and an illy coffee for 50 cents. I used two of the $1 off aveeno coupons that were in the 10/30 SS! No problems whatsoever and I got my $7 ecb.

Well…..when I went to my local CVS today….the little bin for this product was EMPTY! So, I’m going to try a few other locations & hopefully I can get the great deal! Keeping my fingers crossed for now.

Don’t forget – you can always ask for a raincheck if your CVS normally carries the trial size but is all out.

I decided to stop by a CVS after work since you stated its now printing the ECB for this deal and I was lucky and there were 2 trial sized lotions left. I was able to use my two free coffee coupons which gave me $.98 overage to reduce the cost of the lotions so it ended up being a $5.00 money maker for me. Thanks for posting the update that its finally working!!!!

Kristen November 3, 2011 at 8:24 am

So if there was a sign hanging by the lotion earlier in the week that said “No Extra Care Bucks will be given for the purchase of travel size Aveeno lotion,” we should assume that will be gone now?? Awesome! I hope there are some left when I get there 😉

I would call corporate before you go – in case your store is still trying to enforce that. If corporate is allowing it to print and has now included, not individual store should be taking it from you.

Are these just located with the other trial items?

When I went to the CVS today the sign was still posted that the ECB deal was not good for the trial size Aveeno. I decided to give it a try anyway and it worked!! The look of the cashier was priceless.

Where would these trail sizes be located in the stores? With the other travel size item bins???? I went to one store today and they didn’t even have a place for them in the bins so I’m assuming that store didn’t carry them – I didn’t have time to look around but I’m hoping I can find it so I can get in on this deal!

Christie November 3, 2011 at 7:27 pm

Mine were in the travel size section in a little bin. But my store has (2) travel size sections (strange but they do).

the 10/30 coupon (at least mine) DID NOT STATE SIZE! I used the $3/2 and WOOHOO only paid about 20 something cents and got $7 back!

I’m in Jacksonville, FL, and I tried to do this deal today around 3:00 pm but I wasn’t able to. The travel bin was empty, and when I asked the cashier for the raincheck, he wouldn’t give me one. He told me that CVS corporate had instructed them to actually remove all of the trial sizes from the shelf so that they wouldn’t be available for purchase because the ad was screwed up and the ECBs were not supposed to be given on the trial sizes. Something smells at this CVS!

my coupon is for $3/2 doesnt have a size restriction either!!!! and i was able to get a rain check from my cashier today!

Sandy November 4, 2011 at 1:09 am

If you do a raincheck do you also get the EBCs? I have been to 3 stores in my area so far and have found none. The coffee is also gone and each store said they do not substitute for another kind 🙁 Kinda bummed about it. I am wondering if something fishy is going on in my stores.

Our Southern, OH stores refused to honor the ECB’s or give a raincheck on any trial size Aveeno products. They were out of samples until their truck arrived today but would not re-stock the trial sizes. I also have the $3/2 coupons & the $1/1 coupons. Would have made for a great deal. Though the manager was pleasant, he did inform me that there was no way in this world that they could honor a deal of this type.

This is a fantastic deal if it works…heading to my local store to try it out tonight. I can’t actually find the deal in the flyer or on the website either. Where did you discover this little gem? And on a related point, is there some central place where ALL of the weekly ECB deals are listed? I spent a good half-hour today looking for it on cvs.com with no luck.

Worked for me in West Roxbury Mass, but I took the two last trail size. Got the coffee too, the cashier was trying to adjust the price but she couldn’t. Ended up spending 72 cents for 2 mouthwashes, 2 trail size, seattles best coffee, gave her 5 dollars in ECB and got 11 back, I love cvs
