Hope my scenario helps a few of you guys πŸ˜€

Some stores put their sales items into the computers the afternoon before the sale. Do we know if the sales will actually be available wed pm?

Reply

Christie November 22, 2011 at 4:41 pm

Last year the ECBs weren’t printing until after midnight. So, I would plan for that.

Thanks for letting me know. Do all of the stores open at 6am? I noticed that Walgeens stores seem to vary.

Thanks Christie! I for one appreciate your hard work.

Thank you for this. I really need to get my coupons together. I have so many ECB’s and CVS GCs from previous purchases I should be able to do this in 2 transactions, pay nothing OOP and end with $48.08 in ECB (assuming they have everything and I can get all the coupons)

Christie, in your transaction #2, should that be a purchase of 2 Softlips and not 1? The total doesn’t add up and the coupon is for $2/2.

Yes (2)! Thanks! πŸ™‚

When you get the last ecbs dont forget the hairdryer thats $9.99 and then get $5.00 back in ecb that makes it $5.00 but if you use your ecbs its free!!! πŸ™‚

Just made my shopping senerio for that day. I will be doing 2 transactions using 2- $5/$25 cp that I have on my card and $14 EB I currently have.
I will spend .69 OOP plus tax and finishing with $33.99 EB and get over $70 in free product. Yay! Cant wait!

What if I just do everything in one transaction and use all the ECB’s to buy something else that I need? Will I actually be losing money this way?

The reason I ask is that I’m all out of body wash and my husband likes me to stock up for a few months. I figure I would have eighty-something in ECB’s to use. But I don’t want to lose money on this if that doesn’t make sense. Thanks!

Never shopped at cvs, it is sort of far away, but I have a question on the Thera flu, when you use the $3/off 2, do you get overage, or do they adjust it down? Are all stores good about adjusting down coupons. Thanks!

Reply

Christie November 23, 2011 at 8:20 pm

CVS is better at adjusting down than most stores. They don’t give overage generally.

My CVS didn’t have everything and they wouldn’t take the revlon coupon and my $5.o0 off $25.00 didn’t show. πŸ™ On the brighter side I did make $2.00 and I got all this stuff for free, some I will use, some I will donate or give away for stocking stuffers. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The AA 4pk of CVS batteries rang up at 3.65 with 3.99ECBs back for me! Money maker all by itself! Not sure if it was a glitch in the system or not, but hey, it works!

Crystal B, the same thing happened with my CVS battery purchase.

I had a great run today. I did 3 different transactions, bought $100.88 worth of stuff, paid $1.29 OOP (I accidentally dropped the $1.00 Revlon coupon in the car) and got $53.84 in ECB

At my store the Wet n Wild Festive Flirt Nail Kit limit was 2 not 1… the batteries it rang up as $3.65 so got $0.34 MM…the General Mills cereal limit was 2 not 1, got 2 boxes and used $1/2 Q which made the cereal $0.37 each :). It was fun shopping there today at 10:30 am because for the first time, I finally ran into 3 other ECB shoppers who were hunting down similar items at our small store.

My $1/1 Revlon coupon didn’t work for the nail polish… other than that, a great day! Thanks for all your hard work, Christie!
