CVS doesn’t allow overage unless it’s an Extra Bucks deal, so there’s not really a reason to use both.

I didn’t get the Accu-check from the magic cpn machine but I have to say I’ve had lots of overage that applied to the other items in my purchase that do not include EB. Tonight I bought
2 Snickers used (CVS $1/2 Mars),
2 Milky Way ($1/2 Mars & .75 mfg),
2 Pepsi Next (2).55 Pepsi mfg),
6 Cadbury bars (3) CVS BIGI Cadbury)
Subtotal was $2.32
Only paid for 1 Cadbury 2.19 and .13 for the Pepsi because the overage from the MilkyWay paid for the Pepsi. There were no EBs involved so I don’t understand your answer. Am I missing something, I didn’t get any beeps.

Same here, always use average when combine MQ and CVS Q toward other items.

Nicole,

It states in the CVS coupon policy that they don’t give overage. What happened in your case would be the cashier not adjusting the coupons down. You really didn’t need to use a $1 off 2 Milky Way CVS coupon and a $.75 off 2 Milky Way coupon, because two would have been free from CVS and then the other two would have been $.25. I’m shocked that they accepted it to be honest. CVS does not give overage nor is it applied to your purchases. So in this case you were really lucky. For everyone else, they probably will not get any overage by using those same coupons. So you were one of the lucky ones because the cashier aloud the overage which is not typical.

Hmmm, they do give overage here all the time at all 3 of my stores. I know from watching the total at check out, I never see when I’ve hit an overage so I don’t know if the cashiers can tell on their side when there is overage either? When the Physicians Formula was the hot coupon, I saw dozens of post where people were getting the overage $7 at a time and thats just the only one I can remember right now. To be honest I haven’t read the coupon policy in a long time but I thought it meant they would not give a cash back overage!! Seems like if it was against the policy that they would fix it so that it couldn’t happen.

Yes..you are very lucky! The cashier should adjust the coupon per their coupon policy however, I have found though that it really depends on the cashier…often, they just scan the coupons and if they go through they don’t bother. You just can’t count on it although it is a nice surprise when it happens
