Is the 2/$2 price a regional thing maybe? The candy bars are $1.19 at my CVS so cheaper to use the coupon at Walmart. 🙂
My stores are also $1.19 when you buy one but 2/$2 when you buy two. You may want to check your store to see if they do that too. 🙂
One more question. When you use a BOGO free type coupon doesn’t it normally take off the lowest price of the BOGO free items? If so: Buy 4 Candy bars (2 at $1.00 and 2 at .25). When you use the coupon it will only take off the .25 leaving you with a total of $2.25 divided by 4 = .56 ea. Now if they just scan the coupon and you get the full price off that would be great! Just wanted to let people know their cashier may just manually put in the price and you won’t get the full price candy bar taken off – that’s what my CVS does.
I tried this at my cvs today and they only took .25 off. The cashier said the free item is the lowest price item.
