Wow! Reader Carolyn e-mailed a picture of her fabulous shopping trip which is so good I thought I’d share it with you. She ended up paying only $10.41 for everything shown in the picture above (less two boxes of Hershey’s candy as her kids were excited to give them as gifts ;)). The total before all her savings was $53.91 so she got some really great deals!

I went to TWO CVS’s and they would NOT let me have the travel size of “Clean and Clear Shampoo” for $2.49 and the coupon did NOT state that it excluded travel size. One store said that corporate said that it “was up to them not to sell the travel size” and the other store said, “corporate told us NOT to sell the travel size with the coupon. ” Who is right here? I am tired of the CVS “scams” with their red machine!
I believe that the clear shampoo will be free next week so save those $3/1 crts! Don’t waste them on thetravel size when you can get the full size free!
Can you use the $4 off $20 beauty purchase for the Crest 3D Strips?
Also, the $10 off $50 states in cannnot be used with another X off Y coupon.
I am curious, what in the transaction qualified for the $4 off $20 cvs coupon?
the whitestrips would have qualified for the beauty purchase.
If you have issues with cashiers making up their own rules contact corporate customer service to find the answer. I had been having issues with a cashier who constantly made up his own rules (to a point where it became obnoxious and he would not let me use the holiday decor coupon on Hanukkah decorations) so I contacted customer service. They were very nice and helpful, and I hope they would be even with simpler discrepancies.
I have had no problem using the coupons on the sample in the Milwaukee area, except one or two clerks who weren’t sure, but because it has no size parameter on it, game on and they considered themselves educated. But some do actually say a certain size and those shouldn’t be used on sample sizes. You just go to another CVS or push back on this one. I also have had no problem adding on the 10 of 50 along with 5 of 20 coupons with a bunch of both manufacturing and CVS coupons. It does feel pretty crazy but nothing wrong with it. Sounds like mgr or clerks are coming up with their own rules.

Should have spent $70 before coupons in order to use both.$20 of it being on beauty items but there was only $2.49 toward that so it shouldn’t have been used.
I’m sure reader Carolyn probably asked if it was OK to use the coupons the way she did… I don’t think she was trying to “pull one” on CVS. Great trip, Carolyn. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
I believe crest white strips are in the beauty setion so perfectly ok to use both cvs coupons.
Crest 3D Strips 10ct is cheaper starting tomorrow 12/16. It’s on sale for 19.99
