Should the first transaction say $5 Starbucks ECB?

for transaction 2, you don’t need a filler. Unlike Walgreens, CVS registers will prompt for your ECB to be adj down to $4.98. Sometimes, very rarely, the full value will go though and eat a bit of tax for me. I don’t mind loosing a few cents here or there if my ecb needs to be adj down. I’d rather have a 0 subtotal & pay tax, then add an unnecessary filler.

Most of the cashiers at my CVS just tell me I have 45 cents or whatever it is left and I add a caramel or small candy! They never just adjust it down without allowing you to use your overage! Maybe it s country courtesy thing! They are so nice and coupon friendly and knowledgeable!
