If you’re a member of the Beauty Club, pay close attention to your balance. The Beauty Club Amount resets at the end of the year! If you have spent $30 and thereby not reached your next $50 buy the end of the year, on January 1st, your balance will be ZERO, and you’ll have to start over.
It takes up to 48 hours for an expenditure to show on your receipt, so if it’s been longer than that since you visited the store, the next time you’re there, buy something that does not contain any items that qualify for beauty, then check the Beauty Club Spending on your receipt.
You can see the example above, I need $21.08 for my next $50. I asked customer service if the absolute deadline for the reset was December 31, and the representative said that since purchases can take up to 48 hours to show on your beauty account balance, it would be best to complete Beauty spending 48 hours prior to that.
You may want to calculate to go over the $50, but not by a lot! If you are interested in making the most of your beauty bucks, I would suggest making your final beauty purchase on or before December 28, 2013. I’ve been out shopping late in the evening, and my beauty club doesn’t actually track until the third day, so I advise caution. It would just be a shame for you to accumulate $48, then have your balance return to ZERO. Of course if you have a beauty emergency during the last days of the year, well then go ahead and buy it! Sometimes a girl just needs a lipstick!

Hi Christie,
Do you have a list of items which are considered to be beauty products? Besides cosmetic, beauty tools and nail products, I am not sure what else.
Here are some other things I can confirm for you, Nancy, I bought a conair hot rollers once, and that counted toward beauty and Hand soap and refills also work! Shampoos, body lotions, body washes, but NOT deodorants or RAZORS. Although my manager told me if we have a $/$$ Beauty purchase CRT or email offer, they work towards razors.
Thanks Harriet!
This is from the cvs website –
Qualifying Beauty purchases include items from the following categories: Cosmetics, Fragrances, Hair Accessories, Hair Appliances, Hair Care, Hair Color, Healthy Skin Care and Skin Care. Excludes items from Trial & Travel.
Hand soap does qualify, as that is on the same aisle as body wash & lotions and considered healthy skin care 😉
Thanks Mel for the info!
Thank you so much for the information. This is very helpful.
I learned the HARD way last year….when I only had $1 & change at the end of the year :O(
