Here’s my CVS shopping scenario for 5/14 In this scenario, you’ll get $24.96 in merchandise. After manufacturer coupons and sale prices you’ll pay $8.46 out of pocket. You’ll keep $3 ECB, so it’s like paying $5.46 for everything or 91¢ per item. Be sure to check your binders for a $1 Irish Spring Body Wash coupon that was previously available to print.

Why are you listing deals like this now? You are making it look like people will get items free but you are just redeeming the ECB. You can’t count the value of the ECB on the first item (the earned item) and then again on the transaction where you redeem it. The ECB has to be treated as cash when you redeem it (as a form of payment). That Irish Spring and Rimmel are not free in the deal listed above but it makes new couponers think that. The Irish Spring price is still $1.25 a piece and the Rimmel is $1.54 a piece after the coupons and ECB. I am seeing more and more of this type of listing from coupon sites and coupon videos on YouTube. It is making people think they are getting items for free when they are not.
Yeah I’ve been writing like this for like 6 years… so nothings changed here.
