System Error on Your Online Order — Now What?

This has never happened before but I had an issue with two orders last week. I received this screen after I placed the order AND the confirmation via email that the order was received. When I went to look the next day to see if they had shipped out yet, I could not see them in my Order History  Bummer! I called Online Order department, and gave them the Order number (which was in my e-mail). After some digging the agent told me it was in one system but not in the other and therefore it would be automatically cancelled. I was really disappointed. He said I’d be refunded automatically.

When I didn’t get my refund in a couple days I called back. The second agent told me it could be 2 weeks before the refund came thru. I was in the middle of getting an ECB for that week, so if I don’t re-order the remaining items by Saturday, I won’t get my ECB, so I asked to place the order. I’d taken advantage of one of those one day only discount codes, and the agent said she was happy to honor for me and she placed the order. I had to use another $3 ECB that I had in my account. I should get the refund in ECBs from the original orders and the few cents I’d charged to my card. With the other order, things went a little differently. The agent said she would put a note or something about the refund of the ECBs so that she didn’t actually charge me again. The only thing they’ll refund was the few cents I charged for it. This agent told me this happens from time to time. It’s some sort of glitch in their system. It had never happened to me.

After I had dealt with both orders I got an email on the first order with this explanation…

But I urge you to check your account right after you receive the confirmation email. If you don’t see the order in your account, be sure to call. Your agent may deal with issue differently, but surely it will satisfactory.
