I so cannot believe that the Skinny Cow coupon is not in my paper today

We did not get the Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothpaste coupon! And I’d already used my Soleil and Revlon coupons. But I’m mostly ticked because my store didn’t have ANY of the items and my cashier REFUSED to give me rain checks for any of it because she said she had been forbidden to by her manager. Said I had to come back because people use the rain checks to get the ECB deals twice. I only rent a car one weekend a month to do my shopping so I CANNOT go back and need the rain checks, and even if I could come back I don’t believe rain checks should have been refused.

I suspect this is the same man that was berating a cashier for accepting totally legit My Coke Rewards coupons for free 20 ounce bottles a few months ago, so I am NOT looking forward to phoning him πŸ™

Oh NO Missy! I’m guessing there isn’t another CVS near you that might have a friendlier manager? Yes, certainly call. I have a pet peeve about managers making up their own rules!

Just a heads up… I tried to do the Revlon nail polish deal and the register beeped at the “revlon color cosmetic” coupon. The cashier called a manager over because she said that from now on they have to give an explanation when they override the beeps and manually enter coupons… anyhow, the (male) manager said that “color cosmetic” referred to makeup and not nail polish. (thought it was ironic that HE was schooling ME in what a cosmetic was — LOL) I do not wear make up but on rare occasion but I do always have my toes painted and even without the $1 revlon coupon I went ahead and did the deal.

(2) Revlon Super Lustrous, Moon Drops, ColorBurst Lip or Top Speed Nail $5.79
Total = $11.58
(1) -$3/$10 Cosmetic Purchase – CVS Instant Coupon from Coupon Center starting 7/31
Total = $8.58, Get Back $6 ECB Revlon
= $2.58 for 2 bottles of nail polish which I found reasonable

Also, our skinny cow candies were $1.19 a piece. I am finding that my prices tend to be higher than noted, but it still made for a lovely reward for all my hard work today.

Oh, and BTW thank you so much Christie for all that you do. I follow you on Wild for Wags and today I spent $61 oops, got $22 in RR (to use for next time, so really it only cost me $39) and saved $255 at Wags — cha-ching! πŸ˜‰

If I remember correctly, one of those Revlon coupons had the colored nail polish right in the photo on it! But I think some people reported last time, back when I used mine, that it only worked on the clear or treatment nail items, which makes no sense because they have no color in them.

That is exactly what happened to me Sunday. I was getting the nail polish and it beeped. He didn’t push it through or anything. He said the computer was saying no item was found. I did the deal anyway because I had two pretty colors and I wasn’t going to put them back! lol

@ Melissa: I printed my SkinnyCow coupons online I believe on their facebook page. Only gives you one print though.

Just got back from a great day shopping! Wanted to let you know if you still haven’t headed to CVS that my location had the Gillete pro series facial wash regularly $7.99 marked down to $1.99 and there is a P&G coupon expires today that is $2/1 so it makes them FREE! I just picked up four and if my brothers won’t use them I will donate them to a local organization!

I didnt have the Skinny cow either. My Daughter gave me some inserts on Friday nite, not sure which paper they came out of, but I usaully go out on Sunday and pick up the Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale paper because I find that most every week they are just a little bit different, but I havent been able to get out yet today because I have been sick, So Christie if you know which of these papers maybe have the Skinny cow and do any of our papers have the Ragu coupon in it? Thanks

I am SO excited for this site. Kansas City is a test market for Walgreens, so I’ve basically stopped shopping there. The points system is not nearly as lucrative as RR. And I hear that the point system is going tobe rolled out nationally in 2012. Have you heard anything about this, Christie?

This site is awesome! Thanks for all your hard work!

Reply

Christie August 1, 2011 at 11:02 am

I have heard that on and off Kim. I kind of feel like no one really knows since the whole point of the test market is to decide if they are going to expand it or modify it before taking it everywhere. I have also heard that sales are down in the test market areas so I have my fingers crossed!
