CVS coupon policy change??? Just came back from CVS meaning to make a quick purchase. The cashier picked up my $1 off Almay coupons before ringing anything and scrutinized them, then informed me they said “one per purchase” so I could only use one of my three for the three items. I explained the difference between that and “one per transaction” to which she said, no, they received an email stating their policy had changed and they can only apply one per transaction. She said, “Do you want to talk to a manager.” And I confidently said sure. She called out, “Another one explaining the difference between one per purchase and one per transaction.” The manager reinforced what the cashier, Rebecca, said and told me she had to make sure I did not commit coupon fraud as “we could lose our jobs.”
I had an EB for $15.99 from last week so I had to keep some of my manufacturer’s coupons. All in all, an awful CVS experience. Anyone else run into this?

I called the Shop CVS number and a rep confirmed for me that the official coupon policy is still that you can use one manufacturer’s coupon per item purchased (and applicable CVS coupon(s). He said each store manager reserves the right to enforce it differently but I did put in a complaint against that store for handling the situation so poorly and I will be talking to a district manager. For those in Minnesota, avoid CVS on Robert Street in West Saint Paul at all costs!
