Schick & Hydro Money Makers Are Back!

by Christie on February 19, 2012

UPDATE: My receipt says Quantity needed to redeem this reward (1), Quantity Toward this reward (3). I did this deal last time and then 2x today, for a total of (3) times. I don’t know what the limit is but it is at least (4).

Woo Hoo! The Skintimate in pink and the Schick Hydro are both printing the $4 ECB again today! I don’t know how long this will last but I can say they both printed.  I bought them separately just to be sure they each worked.

Plus I still found $2 Peelies at my store. The Skintimate is rang up $3.59 and the Hydro rang up $3.99.  Here are a couple of deal ideas!

***DEAL IDEAS***
Buy (1) Skintimate $3.59
-$2/1 Peelie
Total = $1.59, Get Back $4 ECB
= $2.41 Money Maker!

Buy (1) Schick Hydro $3.99
-$2/1 Peelie
Total = $1.99, Get Back $4 ECB
= $2.01 Money Maker!

Buy (1) Skintimate $3.59
-$0.55/1 Skintimate Shave Gel, exp. 2/26/12 (SS 01/15/12)
Total = $3.04, Get Back $4 ECB
= $.96 Money Maker!

Buy (1) Schick Hydro $3.99, Get Back $4 ECB
= FREE! 🙂

(Thanks SO much for the heads up Krissy! :-))

just tried it in dfw,TX and it didn’t work for me. No peelies either.

I wonder why it’s working for some and not others. Did you buy the same ones pictured?

Debbie February 22, 2012 at 4:58 pm

I tried it yesterday and it did not work for me either and I am in Cypress Texas. I had to keep it since I used my ECB’s and they will not refund on ECB’s. Oh will, live and learn.

Tried it at my CVS here in central illinois but didn’t work. Glad it worked for you. 🙂

Isn’t the Hydro a $2.01 moneymaker with the peelie? This worked for me today in New Port Richey, FL.

Yes – $2.01 LOL thanks! In a big hurry to share! 🙂

Just tried at my CVS, looks like the limit is 4

Reply

Christie February 20, 2012 at 12:37 am

I bought (1) last time and (2) this time and my receipt says “Quantity Needed to Earn Reward 1” so it should be at least (4). So that matches up with what you found.

Just wonder what the limit is on this? Thanks!

Just came back from CVS. I bought 5 cans of skintimate. I received ECB of $8. When I got home checked my receipt only two cans priced out at $3.59. The remaining 3 were $3.79. The Skintimate Gel in light pink can qualified for the ECB.

Just tried this in Oklahoma (Sunday night 2/19) and it didn’t work!!! 🙁

What are the limits?

Reply

Gia February 20, 2012 at 12:39 am

i got the pink skintimate and it worked, I bought 3 of them.

Reply

Megan February 20, 2012 at 12:49 am

I bought 5 Skintimate (I think I bought 3 or 4 the last time) and it didn’t work. I bought Blue, Green and a scent… maybe strawberry? I did not buy pink. Does anyone know the limit if the pink does work?

Reply

Christie February 20, 2012 at 12:55 am

Based on my receipt and what Jim commented earlier I think it’s 4, but was for 4 total including last time AND this time.

Megan February 20, 2012 at 1:09 am

Hmm, thanks. I wonder if I got 4 last time and don’t remember! I sent my husband in to do the return- I was too embarrassed!! 🙂

I got 2 today but my recipt says I have gotten 6 and I still have 1 left. So 6 must be from last time too. Today I got the pink kind and the regular shick hydro and I got $8 back. I am located near Houston Tx. I did it at about 8 pm.

anyone knows if this deal will work in california? is it an unadvertised? did they put a yellow sticker under them saying ” 4 extra bucks ” ?

Reply

jennifer from southern california February 20, 2012 at 1:36 am

so i went to 1 cvs and it did not work.

then on my way to a friends house i saw another cvs so went to see if it would work there.
there was a yellow sticker saying buy 1 and get $4 EBC and on the bottom it said 100 limit per household! so when i went to pay, the EBC did not print. but i went to show the employee and she printed the EBC’s for me. i bought 7 skintimates, and she printed out the EBC’s after the transaction (since it didn’t print out when i paid) 🙂

thats what i did at my cvs…i bought ten cans with 2/1 peelies on them, the cashier printed $40 ecb

Sulana February 20, 2012 at 1:39 am

I’m wondering the same thing. Did it have one of those ad stickers by it? Because my store didn’t and I didn’t get it. I just don’t want to try another CVS if it’s regional.

I did this deal @ 2 CVS in MA. First one worked perfect bought 1 Hydro, 3 skintimate, Got $16 ECB. The second store, I got 3 hydro, 1 skintimate, and I only got $12 ECB back. Both stores did not have a sign up. And the first store all other Schick products had the $4 ECB sign, and the second one had $3 signs on all other products. I did not know they could vary that by store.

My receipt says quantity needed to earn reward 1.. and I did this deal way more than 4 times the last time…

Who knows…Good Luck.

I was able to get 10 so far…I got 5 last time and I got 5 last night and I was able to recieve an ECB for each one

Amie February 20, 2012 at 9:09 am

I did the deal and my reciept continued to say quantity to earn reward 1. I went to two stores and the second one had a sign with the limit of 100. The deal was not working on all varieties for me. The sensitive skin Schick Hydro and the regular type of Skintimate were the only types that I found to work. Only one can had a $2 peelie, but it covered the tax and then some so it made it all free. Thank you! My husband was using an Edge variety that he hates – the fumes actually irritate his eyes – so I about to pay full price to get him something he can tolerate. Thanks to you, I was able to pad my stockpile when it really needed it.

I’m so glad! Both for your hubby and for you! 🙂

The two I bought were the two pictured because they were the ones with the peelies in a special display.

Do you know if it’s working in Joliet, Illinois area?? Thanks

Reply

Ann February 20, 2012 at 9:28 am

Ok, here is te deal with skinmate and hydro: The limit is 100 for the shaving gel and you get $4 each time you purchase the two products pictured in this post. The $3 ECB is for the shick razors and it is limit 1 per card per week. I hope this helps. All the CVS around my area are now all out of both products 🙁

Jim February 20, 2012 at 10:59 am

I would like to correct an earlier post I made. I thought the limit was 4, but realized now I purchased the wrong ones. I think Ann may be correct that the limit is still 100. If I remember correctly the deal said it lasted through the end of February, when they actually had the signs posted at the beginning of the month.

The reason I say that is, I just went back to the same CVS I was at last night and got 2 more, so a total of 5 Schick Hydro SENSITIVE and 1 Skintimate Dry Skin (with the pastel pink lid). My receipt says Quantity toward this reward 16, so I think it is still counting the ones I bought from earlier in the month, since I have only bought 6 in the past 2 days.

So, hope that along with some of the other posts helps. Louisville, KY the Skintimate pastel pink lid and the Schick Hydro Sensitive are both working.

Jim February 20, 2012 at 11:01 am

FYI the original Schick did not work for me, it was also ringing up the incorrect size though, so my store may have had it keyed wrong or something, but I got zero ECB’s when I purchased the regular/original Schick Hydro.

Jen February 20, 2012 at 11:29 am

I did this last time and got 18 at different stores. My receipt still says 1 to earn another $4 ECB. However I have so much I feel no need to get more. Am tempted to get some men’s though, but am concerned it won’t print and if they look at my receipt they will see I did this a lot before…Well for the past 2 weeks or so my store has a big display up front and a sign that says limit 6 and actually explicitly states moneymaker on the skintimates.

Jen February 20, 2012 at 11:30 am

Also, the deal on my sign is dated from 1/29-? I forget. But the last time I did this was in this time frame

Gaby February 20, 2012 at 2:19 pm

I live in Los Angeles and I found the Schick Hydro and Skintimate with $2 peelie. Both produced the $4 ECB. I’m not sure of the limit but I’m thinking of going back to get at least another one. My store also had the ECB tag on them. I didn’t do it last time either.

Serena February 20, 2012 at 3:52 pm

Mine didn’t have peelies and NO ECB’s, Guess I’m out 3.74, don’t really want to try to return it…

Can I buy a gift card with my ECBs?

Reply

Nope, can not buy giftcards with ECB’s

AJ February 20, 2012 at 4:07 pm

Forgot to ask when does the $2 peelies expire?

Hopefully I’ll be able to find the peelies at my cvs and I’ll save them until I see it on the ad cause people seem to be having trouble getting the EBCs.

AJ-
Couponing Etiquette 101-
You are only supposed to use peelies for the product it was attached to not peel it and pocket it for a future purchase, then the next person that comes in and purchases the bottle you just peeled the coupon off of is out of the savings.

Reply

Jane February 20, 2012 at 8:50 pm

I agree….someone had peeled the coupons off ALL the cans at my CVS 🙁

Reply

Tamishia February 23, 2012 at 8:24 pm

I completely agree. I think that is wrong anyway you look at it. Just wrong!

So I know I said last night the deal didn’t work for me but that’s because I got the wrong kinds. Went back today and returned them and got the Schick Hydro Sensitive and the pale pink skintimate gels and IT WORKED!(: I got a total of 20 of them. I don’t wipe shelves out so luckily I pass by 3 CVS’s daily. Stopped by all 3 and there were still more left for others.

Worked for me today! I purchased 2 of the Schick Hydro (sensitive skin), no peelies found 🙁
I live in Kansas City, MO! Received $8 ECB’s!

I lost my coupons….with my ECB’s so I had to get a new card today and thought I would try this deal out – they had plenty of the pink. I rang up one pink and no ECB so I figured let me try again and no ECB. I checked the product – the shelve had no hang tags. I wonder if it just doesn’t work in MA or if its I have new card?

Reply

Amanda February 21, 2012 at 10:06 am

I’m in MA and it didn’t work for me also. I’m bummed! When the deal was working here I went to 6 stores and only got 1 can, inventory was wiped out.

This worked for me in WNY this afternoon– there was only a sign by the mens and those had no peelies. At first I didnt see any of the Lt Pink skintimates and I picked up a couple of the other kinds – the scented ones ( raspberry rain and strawberry tangerine)as my daughter really likes those- and went to find a worker to ask about if they were included and passed an end header which had a few of the lt pink ones with peelies- so I picked those up as well. The workers were trying to figure out what was included. They determined that the lt pink ones were but maybe the others weren’t but that they would honor it anyway. So when I checked out the 3 lt pink ones generated $12 ecb and the scented 2 didn’t but then the cashier manually put it through and gave me the additional $8 ecb. I wasnt going to argue as my daughter was excited to get her favorites and hey if they offered to give it to me I wasn’t going to say no…..

Rochelle February 21, 2012 at 2:38 pm

I was running an errand and passed by a cvs I don’t normally shop at and made a quick stop just to see if they had any. They didn’ t have any but they did have tags under 4 of the skintimates including the scented ones I bought yesterday that didn’t trigger the ecb….according to these signs they were including them in the offer.

I bought two of the schick hydro today, there was a tag for the $4 ecb hanging with it. When i got home i realized no ecb printed out. Not sure why since i did not do this deal last time. Guess i’ll be returning them. 🙁

I bought the Schick Hydro Sensitive last night at a CVS in Minnesota. No ECB printed. There were no Skintimate cans on the shelf with light pink lids so I didn’t get to give it a try.

I live in Charlottesville, VA and the deal worked for me on Monday at one CVS where there was a big display in the front of the store. It had signs again for the $4 ECB and there were peelies on all of them. I went to 2 other CVS stores in the area and didn’t see any displays and there weren’t any peelies. I didn’t try to buy any at those 2 locations though so I don’t know if it would have worked.
