HOT Deal on Olay Body Wash & Cleansers!

by Christie on March 5, 2012

There’s an AWESOME deal you can get at CVS this week for Olay products! There’s a NEW coupon in our P&G for a FREE Olay Body Wash WYB an Olay Cleanser. We have a sale price on Olay cleansers and an ECB on Olay body wash. Put it all together for a super deal.

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (1) Olay Cleanser on Sale $3.99
(1) Olay Body wash 23.6 oz or Total Effects body wash 15.2 oz $6.99
Total = $10.98
(1) -FREE Olay Body Wash (to $8.99) wyb (1) Olay Facial Cleanser ETS 3-4-12 PG x3/31
Total = $3.99, Get Back $2 ECB from Olay Body Wash
Total = $1 EACH!

Plus you have $10.98 that you can put towards the P&G Beauty Rebate! I found various Olay cleansers that were priced at $3.99 that we have to choose from, as well as several Olay Body Washes including the Total effects, which is normally pretty expensive. I for one am very excited about grabbing both of these for just a buck. šŸ˜‰

I did the same, but used a $4/$20 order coupon that was sitting in my extracare online account. Accidentally grabbed a $4.49 bottle of cleaner, but it’s all good, sweet deal and a tiny money maker

Can you do this 2 separate times or is there a limit of getting the ECB
one time.

Reply

Hanny D March 5, 2012 at 2:15 pm

The ECB has a limit of 1

Could you use (1) FREE Olay Body Wash (to $8.99) wyb (1) Olay Facial Cleanser AND (1) $2/1 Olay Body wash?

Reply

Christie March 5, 2012 at 11:28 am

Hi Shari – No, since both the coupons are for the body wash, so it would be double dipping.

Shari March 5, 2012 at 11:33 am

Ohh, I see. Thanks! šŸ™‚

This point of doing 2 separate transactions would be so I could use the 2.00 ECB on the second set of items. thanks

Reply

Christie March 5, 2012 at 11:28 am

It’s a limit of 1 on the body wash ECB, so you’d only get the $2 the first time.

Is the Total = $21.96 before you use your coupons then after coupons is $4.98 =OOP just want to make sure i get it right before i go to CVS Thanks

Debbie March 5, 2012 at 12:46 pm

This would take two transactions but I think I am going to do it.

6 Olay Cleansers – 3.99 x 6 = 23.94 – 9.00 in cpns ($3 off 2) = 14.94
6 Olay Body Wash 6.99 x 6 = 41.94 (Buy cleanser get BW) = free

Total cost $65.90 for $14.94 oop

So for $14.94 oop you will get $2 ECB – $5 from Beauty Club and the $10 MIR.

That works out to a $2.06 mm without tax. Of course, I have some ECB’s so my oop will be less. Can’t wait to go shopping I love OLAY

Hey Debbie,
Just keep in mind that on the P&G coupons you can only use 4 like coupons per transaction. Unless you buy 4 of each for the first transaction and then get the other 2 of each for the following.

That’s why she said she’ll do two transactions lol

I just called and spoke to P&G about their most recent beauty rebate that was in yesterdays paper for some general questions: I was curious as if we were allowed to use the coupons & ecb’s and it not being taken out of our total of being qualified for the 50.00 MIR she said that the 50.00 is anything you purchase BEFORE coupons and BEFORE ecb’s. šŸ™ so we can’t pay with ECB’s and we can’t use coupons (well we can BUT the total must be 50.00 still…. not 65.65 before coupons 15.00 after..) just thought i’d share.

Steph – thanks for letting us know.

I have to say P&G rebates have never been like that before. So maybe they have changed because that would be a first. šŸ™

Debbie March 5, 2012 at 6:29 pm

Christie – I just phoned the number on the MIR form and asked if the rebate is based on before or after coupons. I was told it was after coupons. I asked do I need to actually spend $50 out of pocket and she said yes. Then I asked has the policy for P&G changed? In the past, I have submitted rebates before coupons and received my rebate. According to the lady I spoke with every rebate is different and this particular one is in fact after coupons.

So I guess I will have to think about whether I want to particapate in this MIR.

i meant AFTER coupons and AFTER ecb’s sorry šŸ™ but yes that is what she just told me on the phone. if anyone else has done this and it’s worked please let me know maybe she was wrong? but i don’t think she was

would olay facial wipes count as a facial cleanser?

Reply

Christie March 5, 2012 at 5:07 pm

I think so. The picture on the coupon just has a bar of soap on it … those wipes are facial cleansers just not liquid.

Reply

lynne March 6, 2012 at 2:34 am

yes. i did buy the wipes and it works just fine with the coupon!

Jen March 6, 2012 at 12:47 pm

I tried getting the facial wipes and my cashier refused them saying it doesn’t say cleanser and has to be cleanser. So I change them. Then she refuses to take the $3.00/2 cleanser coupon saying the Buy One Cleanser Get 1 body wash coupon is for both items and I need to purchase 2 more items to use it. I tried to explain and show her the coupon policy so she called over another cashier who agreed with her. I had to go to another store to buy my Olay. Good grief. Who’s correct here? Did I misuse the $3.00/2 cleanser coupon?

I did this deal:
Buy (2) Olay Cleanser on Sale $3.99
(2) Olay Body wash 23.6 oz or Total Effects body wash 15.2 oz $6.99
Total = $21.96(1) –
(2) FREE Olay Body Wash (to $8.99) wyb (1) Olay Facial Cleanser ETS 3-4-12 PG x3/31
(1) $3.00/2 Olay Facial (2/12 RP)
Total OOP = $4.98, Get Back $2 ECB from Olay Body Wash

Does anyone know if you can do this in the test market that didn’t get a full circular this week? I live just South of Birmingham, AL and I just went to my CVS and scanned ALL the Olay cleansers and they all rang up at full price??

Christie March 5, 2012 at 5:08 pm

I don’t think you’d get the $2 ECB, did you get a 20% off pass in your insert?

Kyra March 5, 2012 at 6:01 pm

I just did the facial cleanser/body wash deal. I got 3 of each and the woman adjusted the BOGO price up to 8.99 even though the body wash (that ended up FREE) only rung up as 5.99. I also got the Fillipo Berrio Olive Oil on sale for 3.99 and had a 1.00 coupon. All together I paid 7.00 ECB and then .44 out of pocket and got back 2.00 ECB. I was so thrilled. šŸ™‚

Oh! And my magic coupon machine spit out a $4/20 coupon that I used. I also got $3/10 Healthcare and a few others. But no Oreo coupon. Sad face. oh well! šŸ™‚

I did this deal but a little different and got everything for free. I bought two facial cleansers on sale for 3.99 each and two body washes for 6.99 each. Total before coupons was 22.00. I then used a 4 off 20 coupon and a 3/2 olay facial cleansers from RP 2/12? And I also use two BOGO Free body washes from PG 3/4. Total after coupons $1 plus taxes and I got a $2 RR!!! Also completed my spend $50 get $5 EB so its such a great deal šŸ™‚

I did the deal and got (6) facial cleansers, and (6) body washes for only a little over $5 after using a few ECBs, coupons, $1 off Olay CVS Q that I got from the CVS Magic Machine, and a $3 off $15 CVS Q. I got the $2RR, the $5 Beauty Club Rewards, AND it qualifies for the Rebate making it free.

The P&G Beauty Facebook page has clarified the rebate before/after coupon controversy:

Hey! Iā€™m so sorry for all the confusion with the Best in Beauty Rebate! You can use multiple purchases/receipts for the rebate. If you have more than eight product UPCs, you can list the rest at the bottom of the rebate. And your total does not have to be $50 after coupons, but it must be $50 before any other offers are applied. Let me know if you have more questions!
