Some of you may or may not be aware of this but the CVS Green Bag Tag Program has ended. CVS has been phasing this program out in order to concentrate on some other environmental related things and as a token of their appreciation, to those of you who participated in the Green Bag Tag program, they’re giving a $2 ExtraBucks Rewards. So, if you participated in this program you’ll probably get a $2 ECB at the bottom of your receipt on your next purchase.
Your ExtraBucks Rewards should have a statement at the bottom that reads like this:
We are sorry but our Green Bag Tag program has ended. Please accept these ExtraBucks Rewards for your past participation. Your tag is recyclable.
Has anyone received these ExtraBucks Rewards? Please let us know.

Confirmed. The guy at my store has been reminding me about the program ending for a couple of weeks. I got my $2 extrabuck reward yesterday at checkout.

I received mine yesterday. Great while it lasted.
I wish people still use their bags despite the end of the program as plastic bags are pretty bad for the environment, ending up in rivers, oceans and being harmful to wildlife. I still get a few every now and then to use for trash, etc but usually don’t need many.
The GBT program got me into using my own bags. I always keep a stash in my car and 1 in my purse (it folds up & snaps, no bigger than a wallet!) I’ll still continue to use my own bags at CVS. The cashier said that a new program is in the works to replace the GBT.
Got mine Sunday. Sad to see it go but I will still use my bag. I use it to collect my items while I’m shopping.

Why did it end?
Sad that it’s over. I will use their bags now. They are the ones that stopped it. So, now it’s their bags and double it babe.
