Another ECB Deal for the PG Rebate!

by Christie- on September 19, 2013

There is a monthly deal for PG laundry products at CVS: Spend $20 and get $5 ECB. I had not seen it until this Sunday when I noticed the white tags on these products: Downy Unstoppables (13.2 oz) , Downy (51 oz), Bounce (120 ct), and Tide (50 oz). The great news is that the limit is 4, so if you have not done the PG Rebate offer: receive a $10 Prepaid Visa when you buy $30+ of laundry products including Tide (excluding Pods), Downy and Bounce (ETS), you can do this monthly deal at CVS. Since the limit is four you can get $40 worth of items to qualify for both the rebate and 2 ECB Deals.

There is a separate weekly deal to buy $30 worth of select PG products that includes the $11.94 Tide.  If you are interested in this monthly deal, be sure not to get that Tide. The PG rebate rules specify that the rebate will be applied to the price paid after any coupons or discounts are applied. Even though you can do ECB deals in separate transactions, please also note that the rebate specifies all purchases must be on the same receipt!

CVS Deals (thru 09/28)
Buy (3) Tide Laundry Detergent, 50 oz, $5.99 Sale Price
Buy (2) Downy, 51 oz, $5.99 Sale Price
Buy (2) Bounce dryer sheets, 120 ct, $5.99 Sale Price
Subtotal = $41.93 (over $40 to do 2 ECB deals)
(2) $3/3 Tide Detergent, Tide Boost, Tide Washing Machine Cleaner, Tide To Go, Downy or Bounce, exp. 9/30/13 (P&G 09/01/13)
(1) $0.50/1 Tide Detergent, Tide Boost, Tide Washing Machine Cleaner, Tide To Go, Downy or Bounce, exp. 9/30/13 (P&G 09/01/13)
Total = $35.43 and get back $10 ECB + $10 Prepaid Visa
=$15.43 or $2.20 each!

The PG rebate rules specify that the rebate will be applied to the price paid after any coupons or discounts are applied. My question is….I purchased the same items stated above but I only paid $22.43 before tax because I used my $13eb. Do you think I will still get the $10 visa card because it says I have to spent $30. I’m just confuse about this. Or should I return and do it again and paid $30? Thanks a lot!

I am confused are you saying we cannot use the PG/ECB deal going on this week to get the $10 Visa rebate? I prefer the Tide Bleach and the smaller Tides (monthly deal size) are only 40 ounces so that makes them .06 an ounce. (It works out as the same price if you are doing the Regular Tide because that is a 50 ounce bottle(.04 per ounce) but all speciality Tides are 40 ounces (.06 per ounce))
Example – I would like to use:
Deal 1

Buy 3 Tide ($11.94 each) use 1 – 3/$3 PG coupon = $32.82 get $10 ECB and $10 Visa =$12.82 (that’s $4.82 each for 100 ounces of Tide – for a total of 300 ounces or .04 per ounce)
Can I still get the rebate with this deal? Thank you for your help!

I went by CVS today and it didn’t have the tags that you show. Plus, I scan the tide and it was full price and didn’t mention about the sale.
