This week buy two L’Oréal Hair colors and receive a free L’Oréal Advanced Shampoo or Conditioner. I found the Root Rescue products included in this deal. These are priced at only $6.99, plus there was a high value coupon in the inserts this weekend.

I went last night to do this deal and they wouldn’t let me use the $2 coupon on the shampoo. Said that in order to follow the coupon policy, I needed to be purchasing TWO shampoos (and the hair colors wouldn’t count) to use that coupon. They said if I didn’t agree I could go back and talk to the manager in the morning.
CVS policy allows you to use a coupon on the free item made by sale, as long as it doesn’t go into negative, which in this transaction, it is not. The store will get reimbursed the $2 for selling the product, so accepting the coupon actually benefits the store. sounds like the cashier was making their own rule. I’d try another store b/c I did this same exact deal earlier in the week for my mom and the girl didn’t even bat an eye scanning my coupons.
