How To Cancel Your Carepass Membership!

Please remember, I am not CVS nor am I affiliated with CVS. I am noting how to cancel the membership but if you have issues, please reach out to them DIRECTLY 1-833-320-2273. Do not leave requests or personal information below. Do, however, share with us if you were able to cancel it. 
I’ve heard from some of you that want to cancel your Carepass Membership and are having issues. FROM YOUR COMPUTER First, login to  your account HERE. You should CLICK HERE. However, just so you know how I found this page, here are the detailed instructions. My mom wanted to cancel hers, so I asked if I could do it for her, so that way I could tell you all how to do it. Then click on “My Account” on the top right corner. Then you’ll see this page above where you’ll head over to the first tab “Account Profile.” Then hit the down arrow to the right of Carepass which is the second rectangle on the left. It will read “ACTIVE, ” unless you’ve somehow successfully de-enrolled but don’t know it. Then more information will come up namely the Credit Card you’re using to pay for it and the expiration date. Towards the bottom of the expanded Carepass box click on the red text, “cancel membership online.”

UPDATE on 10/1/21 – They’ve added a page after you hit this cancel your membership online link. IT’s a page listing all the benefits you’ll lose when you cancel. You’ll want to scroll all the way to the bottom and hit CONTINUE WITH CANCELLATION. 

Then you’ll see this page below. Tell them the reason by choosing a line by scrolling thru the options in the first box. In the second box, write them a note if you’d like. Then Hit SUBMIT.

Then I got this screen.

Almost immediately, my Mom got an email confirming the cancellation.

IF YOU WANT TO DO IT FROM YOUR PHONE, open your web browser and go to CVS.com. Do not open the CVS app.  Sign in first. Then, click on the three bars on the left, then Click on My Account. Then scroll past your name, phone and card number to the second choice after the section, Communication settings to “Carepass” On the Welcome back page, scroll to the bottom. After the Membership info section keep scrolling to  Carepass Membership plan, you’ll click on the red text, “cancel membership online.” Tell them the reason by choosing a line by scrolling thru the options in the first box. In the second box, write them a note if you’d like. Then Hit SUBMIT. I did this via computer, but you should get the same message I got confirming I’ve cancelled it and until when it will be in effect.

 

Keep in mind that they have stated in their FAQ on Carepass that you should cancel at least 3 days before the next payment is due! I cancelled this just three days after the new month had passed, so my Mom’s membership will expire on 6/8. This is confirmed by the email but if I look in her Account Profile, it still reads “ACTIVE” immediately after. A few days later it read canceled… You can use the CVS Weekly Ad to browse CVS products without signing up.

You can contact the Carepass Department directly at 1-833-320-2273 if you have difficulties.

I just called their toll-free number and it took about 5 minutes. The phone reception was lousy, but I spoke to someone who did it.

(I’m so irritated. The lady in the store asked if I wanted it and I explicitly and nicely said ‘no’…then I get a ‘Welcome to CarePass’ email…. I better see my cancellation email!)

Thank you so much. I was able to cancel my membership just by following you perfect instructions. You are right when you need to check your e mail to confirm. I had called them many times today only to get passed from one person to another. This info was a breath of fresh air.

Canceling was easy when I canceled in Jan. However, I doubt they have an office full of staff, if any, during a pandemic. Most business aren’t fully staffed during the pandemic. Actually, I doubt that office job is even classified as an “essential” business. So probably not even open during the pandemic.

Thank you for this great tutorial to cancel cvs carepass. I wanted to add how to remove ur credit card. If u try before signing out it will ask u to “add” another card, but if u sign out & then back to sign in, u can delete the card. Very important to delete ur credit card !!

Thank you for your instructions. It worked. I am furious at this company for pulling this crap. I may turn them in to our Attorney Generals office to be investigated. You should be able to just call their number and cancel it. I will never fall for this again. Thanks so much.

Frustrated with trying to cancel this CarePass. Called the number and was unable to understand a word they were saying since the connection was lousy. The website keeps giving me this message that something is wrong on their end!

Your instructions didn’t work. Still trying to cancel my CarePass for three months and no success. My phone and the CVS website on my computer isn’t showing the Carepass section. They are giving people the run around because they want to keep taking money out of peoples account.

I called 1833 320-2273 I chose 1 option then Did 0 Waited until person came on They try to talk you out of it but to me not worth it You get @10.00 But you need to Pay $5.00 I had a person Called ANNA and she cancelled It I tried the website to no avail of working TRY LATER no call and cancel Hope this Helps Ya All

Thanks so much. I haven’t received an email confirmation yet. I signed back in and it still says “active”. I hit cancel my carepass again, and a window opened up saying “you have already cancelled your care pass” so I hope its for real. Thanks for your detailed instructions.

I tried canceling my credit card and I couldn’t. I signed out after canceling my Care Pass and then signed back in and hit “My account” and when it came up I couldn’t trash my credit card. It kept saying I had to add another account no. before I could cancel I did get a cancelation notice that my Care Pass was canceled. What am I doing wrong to cancel my credit card no.? Instructions for canceling Care Pass were very easy to follow.

I followed your instructions, and they appear to have worked perfectly. I’m still awaiting a confirmation email, but I received (on their website) the note about my membership expiring on xx/xx/2021. I printed out a confirmation copy.

So thanks for you help! It was right on the money.

Thank you to whomever put the time into this tutorial. I tried 2 different phone numbers to cancel 4x on different days over the past week and the phone just disconnects or you get a prerecorded message saying wrong number, etc. Tried website, had to re-register. Followed your directions. Finally showed cancelled which I printed out. I have NOT gotten a cancellation email and it’s been hours. In fact I never got a welcome email either! Seems like fraud to me. Makes it impossible to get out of it without your help. I started where you said “click here”. I left website then read about deleting credit card, so went back in and deleted that, so hopefully they will not have a way to charge for this rip off program when it’s due in 2 weeks. This information on them should be made available so other people don’t’ get ripped off. Credit card companies only allow you to “dispute” once charged, very time consuming!

Check your credit card statements. CVS charged both my mother and my carepass fees twice for an annual payment and additionally charged the monthly fee. I was able to dispute the fee for my account because I used a Chase credit card, however for my mom’s we used a Target Mastercard of which does not provide an option to challenge charges.

The first time I called CVS they promised they would reverse the charges but never did. The second time I called I was on the line for over an hour and they again promised to reverse the charges. This time they only reimbursed “one” of the charges for the annual fee. So I am trying to call a 3rd time and when I finally got ahold of someone she kept saying that I was already reimbursed and each time I said I was only reimbursed for one of the charges. Each time she said can you please hold and would come back and say the same exact thing that I was already reimbursed even though I kept explaining that there were two unauthorized charges in addition to being charged the monthly fee for Carepass. She said she was transferring me and instead disconnected me. I finally got through to someone at CVS Headquarters and as soon as I started to tell them the issue they hung up on me. Now I am again trying to get through…..

Warn all of your friends and family about the Carepass charges!

Additionally I have attempted to remove the credit card info from the CVS online account and even though I get a pop up that says “successfully removed” it is still there.

I am ready to go viral here!

I called on 1/28/21 and talk to someone at the phone no (833) 320-227 take to her to go ahead and cancel my member ship and gave her my cvs card no. name and address and birthday my email address she said she will send a email stating that it has been cancel you will see it in 24 or 72 hours but I did not get anything. I want this cancelled right away.

I was really getting upset at myself for being so stupid for signing up for this care pass! I kept on thinking that this can’t be this hard. The lady a the CVS said that all I had to do is call the next day and I could easily cancel my membership! Ha! Ha! Is that a real laugh! Whoever you are for writing this page of information, from the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank you for taking your time, energy and smarts to know that other people would fall into the same trap! I had to finally call the number that you provided and hold on until someone finally answered the phone. Then, believe it or not, the lady kept on and on and on trying to get me NOT TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP!

when I went to the website I forgot my password. when I entered the passcode they sent me I got a reply that they were having technical problems and to check back. I gave up, called the # you provided (nowhere else was that #- Thank you). After calling twice, I finally got somebody to help me. Just another typical way they rope you in and make it very difficult to get out of. Thank you for taking the time to help others.

They no longer have the option to cancel the carepass from the website I follow exactly and I get to the part to drop down where it says Carepass and its not there anymore and when Itype in cvs.com/carepass/cancelplan it reroutes me to pay for the care pass I am so frustrated!
